At Signature SugarArt, we make Unique Artistry Cakes. All of our custom cakes, cookies and other items are completely unique to each event and circumstance. Whether for a wedding, birthday, anniversary or other special event, we will create an edible work of art that reflects your culinary tastes as well as your aesthetic and design tastes. With just the seed of an idea, we can develop a design plan for your sweet creation that will exceed your expectations and enchant your guests.

At Signature SugarArt all of our cakes are 100% edible - save the occasional support structure when absolutely unavoidable. We make all of our sugar flowers, figurines and other detail elements by hand and on site. All of our items are made from scratch from only the finest ingredients.
Signature SugarArt began as Dragonfly Custom Cakes, and formally went into business in the fall of 2007. Greg and Terri Goodwin have been cooking and baking together since the moment they met. With a blended family of six - four boys plus mom and dad - spending time together in the solitude of the kitchen is like domestic therapy!
Both Greg and Terri served in the U.S. Navy. In 2007, Greg retired after a 22 year career.

We are in Cartersville, Georgia
We were formally named Dragonfly Custom Cakes; a North Georgia custom cake studio with a domain name that matched. However, it seems that the name that we were using was too close for the comfort of a company in California that specializes in a baked product that is similar to cake.
It's sometimes funny how God works. We had been contemplating a name change for a while. It had become clear in the short time we had been doing this, that the Art was our focus and that working in all kinds of sugar forms (including cake) had become the canvas. The only thing holding us back from changing the name was the investment we had made in branding the "Dragonfly." This situation was, quite clearly, the confirmation we needed to show us that a name change was in order.
So, what do you do when you come up against a situation that you have no answer for? You pray. So, we prayed. What we finally saw was that all of this, for us, was more about the Art, the Passion, the Creativity and most importantly, the Smiles that we were able to build than it was about a name.
We came to see that we were also doing so much work in mediums that were not cake based that the name we were using was not indicative of our actual products. We knew that "SugarArt" had to be part of the name. We chose "Signature" to proceed it because it emphasizes the artistic and professional image we want to show in all of our work.
